Humanity has had a love affair with photography since it was first introduced in the 1800s. And we have shown no signs of that love losing any lustre. As early as the 1990s, we were taking about 50 Billion photos a year. Today, we now capture over 400 Billion a year and climbing. About 10 percent of all the photos ever taken were taken in the last 12 months. We really, really love pictures.
